About meI'm an author, currently writing an historical/romance/mystery series with Sourcebooks/Casablanca. The first book, Lady Anne & The Howl in the Dark (Setting: Yorkshire England, 1786) will be published Spring of 2009. At least two more Lady Anne books will follow. I'm extremely excited about this new series.
My last series was a paranormal/historical/romance series for Berkley Sensation. Awaiting the Moon (February 2006) became a national bestseller. It was followed by Awaiting the Night (November 2006) and Awaiting the Fire, (September, 2007).
About my libraryI have a reasonably eclectic mix of books. A lot are reference and/or writing books, a lot more are murder mystery, some are keepers I'll never get rid of, and a few are books I have to trade with others.
Confession time: I'm a bit of a book nerd, I guess. I don't know if anyone else has done this, but I've started to use an Excel spreadsheet to catalogue my murder mystery books, those I have, those I want, and those I've disposed of. I use several columns, including my own rating, the order of the book if it is part of a series, comments, etcetera. It helps me not buy/trade the same book over again, and keeps track of authors I've given up on and why, so I don't acquire their books by accident.
I'm not even that organized when it comes to my writing! Oh well, such is life.
