About me I am a very inquisitive and openminded soul hoping to learn as much as she can during this lifetime. I love to learn and keep my brain ticking away. I never get bored as long as I have some intellectual stimulation. I don't have as much time as I'd like to read, but I'm working on that.

About my library The library I will eventually finish adding on here will be a little smaller than usual for me. That's because I finally decided to do the difficult thing and go through my books and finally give away and sell the ones I really don't need. It's a hard thing to do if you love books as much as I do. I even look the look, feel and smell of them, not only for what's inside their covers. I've been selling them on Half.com, giving them away through BookCrossing and to friends.

Hi Jen, Just managed to get myself organized and get in here to reply to your invitation. Great library you have here! I'm still in the process of listing all my books--it'll take a LONG time at this rate!

See you again on Wordie, too. ;-)

Hi Jen! You left me a comment on Dec. 7th and I only just now signed in and saw it - sorry about that!
I took the Buchhandlung shot in Fuessen a couple of years ago when I was driving through Germany with a friend. I've never lived in Germany, but I studied German for about 8 years. I miss it and I'd love to go back over there at some point.
Welcome to DC, by the way! Hope you'll be back in touch,

Hi, Jen:

Sorry to respond so slowly. It's good to hear from another D.C. resident. When did you move here?

Your library suggests you are a writer. Have you published anything? If so, where can I find it?

It also suggests an interest in eastern religions. You might find my India pictures of interest on flicker.com. I have the same user name, paulsikora.

Welcome to WDC!
Just saw your comment as another DC LibraryThinger... glad to see there are people in this town as enthusiastic about books as I am!
yeah thats fine, im here for college.
I havent actually read all of know it all yet, but from the few entries Ive read its ok. Its written like a bunch of little magazine articles. He picks out a few words from each letter section from the encyclopedia and writes a few paragraphs about what he things about it. Not much trivia really, but hes witty so its fun to read most of the time. Its not really a book you sit and read on a plane or something.
Have you tried Jonathan Carroll yet? He led me to Graham Joyce. I like Carroll's earlier work more than his recent novels, but even those are very hard to put down once you begin.
Thanks so much! My new one, Every Visible Thing, comes out next week.

Lisa
