About meHi. I like books and various lists. Probably that's why I'm here.

About my libraryThis library includes books I've read since September of year 2009. I'm putting here only the books I've already read or am reading now, not the ones sitting on the shelf and waiting. It's crazy and a bit frustrating to understand that this list probably won't contain all of my all-time favourites (it's not that much of a problem, as I really enjoy re-reading the books I love). But it will be fulfilled with my latest readings instead, so it might be interesting for myself to see some "milestones" of my recent readings or whatever. Cheers.

That is it.I just...I love you.The paragraph about Huxley and Orwell(who's 1984 I didn't read yet because other books came over it and...I will read it this summer, surely.)You're amazing. And you like Camus(apart from what you've read I also read Exile and the Kingdom and the complete Sysyphus'Myth;I'll read the Plague and also some of his plays...and Kafka.Camus and Kafka are...mind blowing) .And you can compare authors.And...I'm trying really hard not to think about your legs...it's...interesting.
I'm also very glad to hear about your "quite good grades" and your absolute freedom. As for planning a reading schedule...I have done something...I've read the Aeneid, now I'm reading Dante than the other Italian epic poems by Tasso and Oriosto. After that Dostoievski,Camus,Kafka and Homer. These are the main...stuff.Apart from that I'll be reading whatever interesting work I can think of...Shakespeare,Erasmus,Moliere,Edgar Allan Poe,Plato,Seneca(and all the others) and of course my newest love(I probably love him more than I love you) T.S Eliot. He is...I think I'm not even entitled to talk about him yet.And other poets like Robert Frost and W.H Auden,Ezra Pound etc.The weather in Romania hasn't been very great lately and I didn't read as much as I wanted to but I have enjoyed some very fine movies and that was very, very nice. But I am confident I'll meet my expectations by the end of the holiday.
I...don't learn in languages...I know Romanian and English pretty well...and I try to grasp as much as I can from French and German,Latin,Spanish,Italian...but,at the moment,I couldn't be studying in those tongues. But they're great.Beginning with this school-year I'll probably start learning German. And French...which I study in school but haven't really paid attention to it.
OK Egle, that's it for now.I'll do my best to protect myself from you very erotic messages but please send them. You wouldn't want me to commit suicide, would you?

Verweile doch, du bist so schön…

Ah, cielo! Si può! Si, può morir!
Di più non chiedo, non chiedo.
Si può morire! Si può morir d'amor.
Hello Eglė,

It's very exciting to hear from you again.I'm relieved you're safe and sound (my hope of you not being dead was a bit of a joke...I tend to say things ironically with a great deal of seriousness and if the one addressed doesn't figure it out then I explain myself).Anyhow,I'm sorry if it wasn't appropriate.

I...feel like telling you my "youngish" theory on girls(and women also)because...you're just that virtually attractive. There are three major possibilities (I can only state that these apply for me.Whether they are true or not,I do not know) :

I A girl/woman is what society would call "a good-looking person"...physically beautiful, sexually attractive and so on but her brain and spirit are just slightly developed. She has no knowledge of refinement nor can she think of or express intelligent things.Of course, she could, she has potential but that's just how thing are for her...she's more of an object than a being. She may be aware of it,she may be not.(Also, this would be the moment to mention girls that try to act very tough, very boy-like,when in fact they're just sad...)

II A girl/woman is what society would call "ugly" or "dull" or "non-sexually attractive".Yet,she is a treasure of delicacy,of good taste and feminine behavior ; she is smart, capable, virtuous but her physique or manor of dressing don't bring her much attention. In this case, the spiritual features make such a girl beautiful and that beauty covers her body as well. So,in short,a smart, knowledgeable girl is implicitly attractive from the physical point of view.

III The last case presents a girl/woman that has a beautiful body and a beautiful mind ( just like girls in the second case). There is actually little difference between girls from group II and III.It's just that the latter has a glow that probably doesn't even interest her that much because as well as girls in the second group, girls from group III truly and thoroughly understand the meaning of "Beauty is skin deep".

All in all, they are all beautiful but since they all coexist I consider that I shouldn't waste any time with girls from group I (even though,I repeat, they could be just as splendid). The ones from group II and III(which,in the end,is the same category) are the ones that I would love.
As for my plans of remaining single,I don't really know anymore...I'm staying open to anything and I'm trying very hard to be capable of taking the right decisions.

Music is great and to be honest I don't really feel like talking about it that much anymore.I used to listen to all kinds of stuff like G-Unit and Eminem and others but having drowned in the sea of classical music I don't have the time nor the inclination to talk about it.I have all the sympathy for everything but anything other than classical, jazz or good music(which isn't that much) have little or no effect upon me.

School has just finished so I've got 90 days of quietness and peace. That's very nice but I know it'll be short so I'm trying to waste very little time...I've got a lot of things I have to read, lots of movies to watch and that's pretty much it.And,of course, now I can walk and relax every day.

I admit I've kind of forgotten that you're in college and I'm sorry I didn't wish you the best of luck.I'd very much like to know how you did.

That's it for now.

Zwar weiß ich viel doch möcht ich alles wissen

Bogdan.
I hope you didn't die.Having written this you may deduct that I haven't.
Hello Egle

I guess it's my turn to thank you for an even "thorougher" reply;in fact I've been kind of...keen on hearing from you.I don't really know why but I enjoy doing this.

I do want tot tell you that just the second after I sent you the message I thought about whether watermelon sugar actually exists but I didn't send another message because I thought it'd seem to insistent.I thought it was in the Uk because at the end of your "About my library" you said "cheers" and so I figured you may be English.

It's very nice to know that you're studying publishing(thanks for telling me) although I don't truly know what it is that you do(writing I would suppose, for newspapers and stuff)but anyway I wish you lots of luck and rewarding accomplishments.

Forget about Romania being beautiful!!As a matter of fact, forget about any country being beautiful because of forests and birds and mountains. Those are common. It wasn't Americans who created the Colorado Rockies or the South-Americans who created the Amazon nor did the Romanians who made the Danube and so on.Those were given to all humans (by God) so beautiful landscape doesn't make a nation beautiful.Personally,I don't like Romania because there's just too much incivility and bad taste and...disgusting stuff.Of course,it's not general and I strongly believe that every country has all kinds of people, good, bad, stupid, repugnant, beautiful and so on.Frankly,I don't care.

The fact that you like children's literature is actually rather attractive...but a lot of books that are said to be "for children" are in fact milestones of universal literature(Alice in Wonderland, Moby Dick etc.) so keep on reading them. And if you'd indulge me a short psychological analysis - don't say "maybe it means that I myself am a bit immature or something:))" You either are immature or not. That's why " Nosce te ipsum " are very, very big words.Nonetheless,I certainly fail to know what I really feel myself but it's nice to point it out to others... :)
Why are you into rock/metal music ?! I'm deeply into classical... I do know that it's not very appropriate to discuss one's taste (you don't like it,ain't no need to speak upon it) but I think that in terms of refinement, gentility or simple beauty classical music is the undisputed, unconquerable champion.Rock stars admit it too and also you could look into a very interesting study of which you may have already heard - The hidden messages of water - it shows how water reacts to different kinds of music. It is true though that classical isn't the only type of music that should be listened,it's just the most wonderful.Jazz comes next and pretty much everything that has something worth in it like Queen or Scorpions, some M.Jackson and all the others. If one knows his way around classics it is much, much easier to chose and have a righteous opinion about the rest.I'd actually like to ask you to tell me some band or songs you listen to.

My fingers hurt!

I think this is enough for one comment...The latin phrase means " Best wishes of happiness and joy "

Decorus sententia es ferreus facio.

Hi!

First of all,I'd like to thank you for your "positive criticism".It's nice to know that you're impressed with my library(which is kind of...not mine because at first I didn't see the category "Read but unowned" so I don't actually have all the books on a shelf but I've got pretty much any book I'd like to read on my computer in "title.doc" so...Anyway I usually get them from the library and some times buy them.
As for the reasons why I sent you a friend invitation(which is really awkward by the why...the word "friend" really changed in the last years), I was rather bored and sleepy...and I was just moving the mouse on the screen without any real purpose and I don't remember exactly why I clicked on your nickname...probably because it had " Alice " in it and I saw the picture which I think is Oscar Wilde and then I saw you had F.M Dostoevsky and Kafka and Camus and Hesse as favorite authors and that was it...the magical spark that may have twinkled so that, one day,we would unite our destinies.(just kidding...hopefully or probably or something)
Most probably we don't know each other...I'm from Romania,I'm 17 and I like good books, classical music and up until lately I used to really like and admire intelligent, broadminded girls but I've realized that if I'm achieve my cynical goal of remaining single I have to kind of...avoid them because they're simply irresistible(spiritually speaking -- which makes the physically speaking even easier).
I think that's all for now...I'm so sleepy I can't event type properly.I do have a question - where is Watermelon Sugar ? (probably in the UK somewhere...)
and also...but no.I see that Egle is the name of the Queen of serpents...so that elucidates the matter of your gender.

What do I write here?!?!

Optimus vota of gaudium quod tripudium.
