About meEducation: University of Minnesota (B.A)
Harvard University, Divinity School (M.T.S.)

My interests include the intellectual and social history of the ancient Mediterranean world. I am particularly interested in the intersection of Rome with early Christianity from the first to the seventh century CE. Specific areas of interest include the Christianization of the ancient Mediterranean, ritual and magic, theological controversy, hagiography, and monastic practices. I want to further explore the development of rituals, practices and theology in early Christianity and their effects upon the social and religious sphere of Roman antiquity. Other interests include ancient philosophy, Roman Egypt, the Syriac Christian tradition, Hellenistic studies, mythology, and the religions of the late antique Mediterranean.

About my libraryMy library reflects my interests. But you'll also find a lot and a little bit of everything, (sort of). Putting everything onto the website is a work in progress. This is going to take a while.
