About meI am an avid reader of classic literature. I enjoy, foremost, Russian authors but as a writer, I read an array of books to study an author's style and use of words. I was first inspired to write at 7 years old by the works of Edgar Allen Poe receiving an award for a mystery short story I wrote at age 14. I was motivated by Thoreau's words, "Do not sit down to write until you have stood up to live." I lived and worked in various countries experiencing life under different cultures and forms of government. I write literary fiction that is based on the lives of people I encountered. I hope my stories will enlighten and motivate readers to assess their lives and recreate themselves to find their true place in life that leads to happiness and fulfillment.
About my libraryI have an extensive library. My library includes Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Lermontov, Turgenev, Pushkin, Nabokov, Kafka, Hardy, Wharton, Steinbeck, Babel, Balzac, Baudelaire, Voltaire, Asimov, Hawthorne, Eliot, Milton, Dante, Poe, O.Henry,Orwell, Rousseau, Rand,Fromm,Proust, Albee, Hemingway, Wilde and MANY more, I also enjoy non-fiction books about ancient civilizations and modern cultures.
