About meMy main interests are different places, history and animals, but in truth there are few subjects that don’t interest me. If you happen to like any of the books in my library and would like to talk about them, drop me a line. It’s always interesting to hear from people who enjoy the same books.
About my libraryI only include the books I have read and liked and/or found useful (although not necessarily own). To keep my library compact and easier to browse I tend to include only the first volume in any series, unless a collected edition is available. To make it more useful to others I also often include a brief comment on what a book is about.
To save myself time, I tend not to review classics and bestsellers, since I figure that anybody who’d be interested in reading them would have heard of them anyway. For the same reason, I usually only review the first book in a series, although I often comment on the series in general in the review of the first volume.
I recently joined Library Thing and am still in the process of adding books and writing reviews.

The initials stand for John Doe... him being a stray. And the Mister part? It just seems to fit. Sno, btw, is short for Snowboots. She is gray with white feet. Frankie was named by the shelter. hrm... I'll figure something out with the photos of the kids. yeah, I also like the Hardin character. And that brings to mind a criticism I've often seen aimed at Asimov - that he doesn't write compelling dialogue. I've always thought he was pretty good at it. At the moment I'm reading The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. It's a load of laughs. ehhh lol

I said we have no books in common, but that's not true. I have and have read Asimov's Foundation and I, Robot. "Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent." What a great line. I may read them again, so I was going to wait to list them. I've had for some time a book by the good doctor called A Choice of Catastrophes wherein he narrates various ways in which the world can be destroyed. I've read the Lord of the Rings books and The Hobbit but for whatever reason haven't listed them.
Oh, and I've seen a tv show about Christian the Lion.
Nice talking with you, Kevin
