Greetings!
I had the pleasure of introducing your book at the literature conference today. If you haven't checked the website lately, it's been updated (http://www.coe.uga.edu/gcba/). A company called Bound to Stay Bound Books,Inc. had posters of all the nominees for us. I'll be hanging mine up in my classroom on Monday! It was exciting to be part of the committee to choose the books for the Georgia Book Award. Good luck!

Congratulations on being one of our Georgia Children's Book Award nominees for 09-10! I wasn't the only one who just loved this book!
Within the past couple of weeks, I've read The Puzzlling World of Winston Breen. I didn't realize when I read it that it was written by an LT author. That was a pleasant surprise! I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I am reading many YA books right now because I am on the committee to choose nominees for next year's Georgia Children's Book Award. This book is one we were told to read for consideration. I will definitely recommend it. As a gifted 8th grade English teacher, I know that many YA books aren't challenging for my students. The puzzles you've included in your book make this a perfect book for my students. Thank you for an intelligent, interesting book!
