About meI read, watch, and study sf and fantasy fiction. I have a Master's degree in English Literature; I am now finishing (ABD) a doctorate in the same field at [CENSORED] University, specializing in British literature of the long 19th-century, contemporary British fantasy, and Jane Austen. I teach composition and literature.

About my libraryThere's a lot of what you'd expect. Science fiction, fantasy, and literary criticism, with some writing pedagogy, Latin texts, and history books in the mix.

I lead a unified life like that.

The great amorous sky curved over the earth,
and lay upon her as a pure lover.
The rain, the humid flux descending from heaven
for both man and animal, for both thick and strong,
germinated the wheat, swelled the furrows with fecund mud
and brought forth the buds in the orchards.
And it is I who empowered these moist espousals,
I, the great Aphrodite.
- Aeschylus, The Danaides, circa 500 B.C.
Ha! That's nifty. (I wonder what will happen once I have all my books entered? The member book connections are fascinating! ^_^) And oddly, chelseagirl, who is also one of your top matches, is someone I know. *G*
Hello, Professor Spike...

(It's the blond hair, the expression, and the jacket.)
*G* Yep. And I'm not done yet. 680 is about... ummm... Well, it's a fraction of the entire library, because I do, in fact, live in a house made of books. ^_~
