About meI was a cataloguer for a Music and Arts Library in California for 20 years. I retired a few years ago and miss cataloging. All my life I have been a reader. I majored in English Literature and minored in History in college, and then went on to get a teaching credential. But found I liked cataloging better.

About my libraryMy collection dates back to the 1960's. I have many classics and a large collection of children's books. I am
the mother of three grown children and I have two grandchildren.

Eurekas--- Thanks for your review of Fritz Muhlenweg's "Big Tiger And Christian". I've added the book to my Wishlist, and hope to find a couple of copies for my Grandkids. Thanks again for posting your review. All The Best, ---Steve ("j.a.lesen")
Glad you enjoyed 'The Ship that flew'. I first read it as a young teenager, and pounced on it when I saw it a year or two back in a library. Much more than the ship itself (rather like Doctor Who's Tardis) or the travelling, I remember the heartache I felt when the magic ceased as the children grew up. As a child I just didn't want that to happen. As an adult the memory of the sadness still hurt.
Thanks for asking to be a friend! Glad we have a number of authors in common, and good to read your reviews too.
We strangely have a few other interests in common: I have a first degree in Music and went into teaching in Bristol, England, until recently retiring; I met my wife while working in a library (as a library assistant though, never got to the dizzy heights of cataloguing!); and the only part of the States I've visited was Seattle--twice! My wife, who is a psychologist, had connections with the University and also with Seattle Children's Hospital, and I got to accompany her. Loved the city and the ambience.

I have a brand new MacBookPro and am just learning about it. Since I spoke with you I found I can type in the information and even though it look broken and isn't legible when I save it and go back and look it is fine BUT I would still like to be able to see what I'm typing in while I'm doing it. Thanks for getting back to me so soon. Eurekas
Noticed you liked Sanctuary, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also southern, a bit violent, and a bit dark :) I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter)in case you'd like to read more about the novel before you commit:
