I did the joys of reading manuscripts then deciding whether or not to publish them. This involved reading a lot of terrible stuff and writing a lot of rejection letters. It was fun when I was on the agented stuff but the slush (unsolicited) pile was ghastly. Canongate are a loverly place to work for, though apply soon. The internship I did was 3 months part time, unpaid of course. There was an interview for such things though...
Hows you anyways? What do you do currently?
