About meHey wuz up? I'm 16 yrs old, have brow hair, blue eyes, and I'm 5'4. I love to read (obliviously), write poetry, take pictures, dance, roller blade, draw, surf the web, and hang with friends. I don't really stick myself in any genre or catagorie because I like a little of everything.though if i did I'd say I was more punk. I love music and I listen to it all the time. I listen to just about everything though I hate bluegrass and limit the rap I listen to. Some of my favorite bands are flyleaf, good charlote, green day, the all-american rejects, 3 days grace, boys like girls, pink, evanesence, rooney, American tradgedy, Mayday parade and rbd. There are tons more that I dont feel like nameing. Most of my books are about vampires or some sort of fantasy or magic. I'm so not a health freak though I have a couple of friends that are and if your that way right on. My motto is that we're going to die one day anyway so I'm going to eat my ice cream and be happy.lol. I am really into yoga though because it helps your mental and physical health,(and if you met any of my friends you'd know I'd need it.lol)If your STILL reading sorry this was so long. ^_~ The last bit about me is that im a mexican-greek-american fun huh? You asked where I got the idea for my books. When I was a kid, I always felt the old scary vampire movies were rather one-sided, and I wondered what they would be like if told from the vampire's point of view. I also never bought into most of the odd weaknesses the vampires were supposed to have -- sunlight, garlic, crosses, etc. Seemed silly.
In high school I started writing short stories about vampires who weren't villains but simply misunderstood victims themselves. Eventually I added other elements, such as them being Templars and the idea of vampirism being pathogenic, and from there the idea evolved into the series concept for the Kyn.
Take care and happy reading--
Always,
Lynn Viehl
