About meI am a sophomore at Tufts University and a true bibliophile. I love complex books that really make you think, especially if the author has some sort of philosophical "agenda." I enjoy reading books set in other cultures, but being an amateur linguist, I'm aware of the perils of translation and so would much rather wait to learn another language in order to read a book than read it in translation. Practically, of course, this doesn't always happen.
I am a native English speaker and I'm fluent in Spanish as my second language. I've also studied (with varying degrees of intensity) Arabic, French, German, Ancient Greek, Latin, Brazilian Portuguese, and Old English, with German and Portuguese being my current main focuses.
I am a trumpet player, singer, and composer, and I've had the pleasure of playing with numerous groups in Los Angeles and Boston. I recently released my debut EP featuring my own compositions and arrangements for my LA quintet, which can be heard on my MySpace page or by searching "Connor Ferguson" on Last.fm.
