About meJapanese photography (and culture) is my main area of interest since my first trip to Japan in the mid 1990s.
A 1 1/2 year stay in Tokyo as a research fellow on modern Japanese photography at end 1990s (combined with some years of experience of working at German museums) set the base for my later job as director at Galerie Priska Pasquer, where I am responsible for the Japanese photography program.
About my libraryMy book collection concentrates on contemporary Japanese photography books and books on modern Japanese photography, but the number of photography books produced in Japan is so huge that it is difficult for me keep up. To make it more complicated, only a fraction of the photography books is available outside Japan.
