Thanks so much. I realized after that the Kindle books weren't available here. I am going to love these books. Happy New Ywar to you.
I hope you liked your secret santa books! Merry Christmas!
Thank you for sponsoring me!
Thanks for being my "Secret Santa". You did a great job at picking books for me, and I appreciate the thought you put into it!

I see we have many books in common. I just got The Lost City of Z last month, after longing for it for quite awhile. So I look forward to that one this year. Happy 2013!
Colleen, I'm glad you're happy with the books -- I had so much fun picking them out since our libraries are similar - it was a case of narrowing things down rather than trying to find enough books. Enjoy!
Thank you for sponsoring me in the Secret Santa. I really appreciate it. After Christmas I will let you know what I received. Thank you.
Penny Marshall
Oh, hi! I didn't see your message until just now. It's great to meet a fellow Vine Voice here.
I'm so glad you enjoyed Raven Black - it's one of my favorites! Have a great new year!

Donna
Thank you for my lovely books am looking forward to diving in!
Glad you had such a wonderful birthday!
Happy Birthday to you. I hope your day is a special one.

Linda
I mailed The Hidden Gallery to you today -- media mail, so it may not be quick, but it will get there eventually!

~foggidawn
Thanks for you offer re The DaVinci Code. It looks like the copy I had requested from someone will come through for me after all. But thanks for taking the effort to offer you copy to me.
I absolutely LOVE your color coded library! I am a quilter and it reminds me of my fat quarter stash (on a much smaller scale). ;-)
haha! we crossed paths... Thank you, Colleen!
Hi Colleen, I would be forever grateful if you sponsored me! I wasn't around last year and funds are low around here. It sounds like so much fun! ;-)
I'll put it up there for you when I get back from work! Just spent half an hour explaining (badly) how to get an angel for someone whose books I can't afford to send and now have not showered and need to leave for work in five minutes. *runs*
Hi Colleen, May I please mooch the 3 books in the Lyonesse series by Jack Vance? I am Kaseya on BM.

Thanks!

Kasey
I realize my strange aversion to little paperbacks costs me lots of free books, including your Margaret Trumans. I can't explain it. I will love to have the other book though! Thanks very much for offering!
Posted a note on the board, but I'd love the Diplomat's Wife if you have it. Thanks!

Wow, wish I was moving to Saudi! We just got transferred OUT of the Middle East and back to the USA and I'm having a tough time readjusting. Been back a year now but I'm missing life overseas.
Hope you enjoy your time there!
If you are willing to send to Canada I would love to have:
The Jackal's Head
The Mummy Case
I think that was all the Elizabeth Peters? All I have of hers so far is He Shall THunder the Sky and Lord of the Silent.
Thank you!!
Hi Colleen,
Please may I mooch [Gods Behaving Badly] by Marie Phillips and [Knit, Purl, Die] by Anne Canadeo if they are still available and if you would send them to me all this way? Don't worry if it is too muc.
Wow - Saudi Arabia; Hope it is fantastic!
But I'll miss you. :(
Though I am sure you will be around - I can send YOU books there. :)
Thanks
Lyn
Thank you for your review of Perfect Reader. I just started the book and am finding it difficult to get into the story. I thought maybe it was just me, but your review was dead on how I am feeling. Time to put it down and move on!
What a fabulous link! I can't thank you enough. I've just had such fun scrolling through the various chapters, and am looking forward to going back and reading more in depth. My mother is going to love this, too.

Cindy
Shanghai Girls is now reserved for you.
It's yours. I'll reserve it for you now.
Sure! I'm amwmsw04 on bookmooch - thanks.
Thank you, condition is fine - I'm not picky as long as spine is unbroken and pages aren't falling out ;)
Hello FC,
Teen Witch is reserved for you the link is: http://bookmooch.com/m/detail/1567187250

Thanks again for helping me get these books.
~ Missy
Thanks so much for angelling "The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt"!
Thanks very much. Aren't you a nice sister!

M.
Hi,
I would like Twins of Tribeca and Mrs. Perfect if you don't mind reserving them for me!
Thanks,
Michelle
Thanks...and if you havent guessed I am not computer savvy...
I cant even find where my review is on here? Any help? Can I cut and paste it then to where it properly belongs?
Mr. G
I found it, thank you! :) :)
This is absolutely fine, I am not fussy when it comes to books, just so long as I can read them :P I have never had a book reserved for me before, wohoo! Where do I go to go find it?
ps- Will be posting about 14 new books in pimp my inventory today.
I would really love to mooch 'For all the Tea in China' from you :)
hehe! Thanks a lot for doing that. I hope so. That was the first time I'd ever seen that book on BookMooch.
Aw, boo! That's a pity. Thanks for trying anyway. :)
I have One Corpse Too Many, but I would mooch the other one!
Thanks for asking...
Happy reading,
Angela
Thanks so much!!
If Private Papers of an Eastern Jewel is still available I'd take it you could send with the other one I mooched yesterday.
Thanks!
susiesharp
Hi,

I'd like to take Mistress Shakespeare, if you still have it. I'm marabw on BookMooch.
Just visited your blog after reading the thread. Really cool! We have many similar books.

Amy

Is it too late for the Barry book? If not I will take it. I'm also msf59 on BM! Thanks!

Mark
Colleen,

Sorry my response is so late, but I never received a yellow flag (of sorts) indicating that I had a comment. Fortunately, I noticed it today. Thank goodness.

Will reserve The Wives of Henry Oades as soon as I finish it. My TBR list seems to be growing of late, but I have it as No. 4!

Best,
Irene

I have a copy of The Wives of Henry Oades. It is an ARC, and you are welcome to it as soon as I read it. In the meantime, if someone else offers a copy, please feel free to accept. Mine won't be available until April.

Best,
Irene
LOL! I love it :)
Are you kidding? It's the least I can do, after all you've done for me. Thanks for letting me know so quickly. I will list it and reserve it for you right away, so that I don't forget about our little arrangement!

Talk to you soon,
Michelle
Hi Colleen,
I have a hardcover copy of Look Again that I would be willing to send to you if you wouldn't mind waiting for me to read it first. I should be able to send it to you by the end of April. Is that suitable?

Talk soon,
Michelle
Hi Colleen,
:(
I just, and I mean just (this week), mooched a copy! Although she sent it almost immediately, so how can I complain?
Thank you so much for thinking of me though! Made me feel very nice. :)

How are you? Are you OK in all this snow? I am sweltering here - in the most humid, hot weather conditions for the longest time EVER! And you are snowed-under literally! Please take care; stay safe!
I finally had time to read The Help. It was wonderful! Thank you so much for sending this book to me. I have a list of friends waiting to read the book.

Have a great weekend!
Cindy
Hey Colleen,
Just thinking about you. Every time I hear about the big snowstorm coming your way, I think of my in-laws - and you!

Try to have a good weekend and be safe...and stay in if you can, with hot chocolate and a good...wait for it....book :)

Michelle
That would be perfect! Thanks so much (again!)
If you're interested in angelling another book?

http://bookmooch.com/m/detail/B002PJ4FWI

But not if you can't ;)
Hi! I don't know if you saw my answer on the angel thread, but I was just saying that condition was fine with me. But if the book's gone now, no worries ;)
I just read your review of WHEN SKATEBOARDS WILL BE FREE...i have had this book for a while..have not read it...but spent a good part of my youth as a political Radical (4 years at Antioch College). I liked your review...level-headed...yet could entice someone to read the darn thing...you're good......;-)
J
Hi! Just a reminder that The Nine Emotional Lives of Cats angel mooch should go to Sophie236 not to me. Thanks.
Carolcat
Thank you so much for your help.

My comment below keeps losing words??
the ... bit (before the ho ho ho) should say Santa?????
Must be something to do with the new code to stop spam messages - they think I'm spam *sob*
~L
Colleen - I have so many to review too! I got terribly behind and cannot catch up...so decided not to fret.
May I ask: do you only add the book to your catalogue once you have reviewed it?
I just have this huge list on my profile page - glaring at me every time I go there. LOL! Supposed to act as a reminder (and a list) but they stare quite reproachfully, at times. :)

Anyway...I sympathise! :) It's all part of the fun (I tell myself incessantly).

From your very-happy-to-have-been-chosen and very-very-relieved-you-liked-the-choices-Santa! Ho Ho Ho!
*cringing at that last bit*
~L.
Happy New Year!
This is my second message to you (I deleted the first as I got it all wrong) I was looking at your 'currently reading and I got confused...(and, what's more you didn't need to know any of that)

I thought to read your review of 84, Charing Cross Road but didn't find one??

But I DID want to stop by to wish you a great year! :))
~Lyn
thank you..i'm going there toot sweet!
Jude
Yeah, In the Kitchen was a struggle for me too. I just never connected with any of the characters enough to really care what happened. I had high hopes for it because I'd read, and LOVED, Brick Lane-- wonderful writing, complex characters-- I think much more reflective of what Ali is capable of as a writer.
Thanks for taking the time to make a Secret Santa suggestion. The Imposter's Daughter by Laurie Sandell and The Gate to Women's Country by Sheri Tepper were very thoughtful choices.

You certainly have a good sensibility about what is different but similar to someone's existing library. I hope the people in your life can appreciate your highly tuned perception skills.

Hi Colleen,

Thanks for the comments! Hope you had a good holiday. I noticed you're reading "In the Kitchen;" curious to know what you think once you've finished. I read it last year.

Forgot to say - I just got a copy (very recently) so that is one reason why I thought of it for you - but haven't managed to read mine yet. LOL! I must put aside a few hours, so it seems, for it very soon. :)
L.
I'm so happy you got that one - you will understand when they open up the SantaThing page and you read all my comments. :)
I think the agonising is all part of the fun...
~Lyn
I mentioned The Help today to a friend at work and she said it is a wonderful book. "Very interesting" is the way she described it. Her book club just finished reading the book.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll check out the other book as well.

Thank you, again. I could not be more pleased!

Have a great day!
Cindy
Thank you so much for the SantaThing books! I can hardly wait to begin reading them. Have a wonderful Christmas!

Cindy
Thank you for angelling "And Only to Deceive"!
Whew! That worked out well, then! I'm glad it wasn't a problem. Thank you!
Oh, dear. I'm afraid I've committed a huge faux pas. I didn't reserve the Tales of the City books for you on Bookmooch - I guess I expected you to go mooch them right away. So someone else has requested two of the books. Now I'm not sure what to do. The other person has asked for [[Babycakes]] and [[Sure of You]]. Would you like the other four, or did you have your heart set on the whole series?
Thanks so much Colleen for getting "Silent Children" for me - so nice of you :)
Talk to you soon,
Michelle
P.S. Thanks for the note about your job - google was pretty accurate this time, and I learned something (from you both)!
Hi Colleen:

I thought you might be interested to know that I just finished recommending a book for purchase to our local Public Library, based on one of your reviews.

The book was "Spiced" by Dalia Jurgensen. After reading your review, I did a little further research, and decided that it's definitely something that I would like to read. I also think that it's a book that would be an assect to the library's collection.

(Despite the size of my library, I only purchase or mooch a fraction of what I actually read) ;-}

- Lorna
Hi Colleen
That's okay, take your time. I understand a how crazy work can be sometimes.
Thanks,
D
Colleen — I would love to mooch both of those Heyer titles that you and your elves discovered! My BM username is wisewoman. Thank you SO much for doing this! I can't wait to read them :)

Amy
Hi Colleen,
You've got a fantastic looking blog - lots for me to read there over the next little while. I loved your Whoopi post about R.P. - how true!

I'm just about to google "foreign service worker" to see what it is you do (when you're not reading or watchng home decorating shows).

I saw my first and second (and only) NHL games in Washington last Christmas and the year before. My husband's brother lives in Maryland ao we have visited the area. Washington is a beautiful, wonderful, dynamic city - you must love it there.

Anyways, hope you enjoy your new-found treasures, and The 19th Wife, which I hope won't take too long to get to you!

Take care,
Michelle
Hi ForeignCircus:

I found a copy of “The Merry Month of May” by James Jones for rphalliburton (message #23 in your Upcoming Used Book Sale thread). She says it’s by Mary White, but everything I’ve seen says James Jones. I'm mooching it for her. If you find a book by that title by Mary White you should grab it, but otherwise I’ve got it covered.

I really appreciate your doing this, by the way – I go to Library Sales and having a list and trying to find things with everybody milling around and grabbing things is hard to do.

Good luck, have fun, and more power to you and your elves.

karenmarie
sorry, all gone! my inventory is finally EMPTY! *bliss*
Sorry I'm slow to respond. I know she's read N is for Noose because I just had that sent to her from another moocher - what others would you recommend?
Hi! I'd love to see what you had, but either you have a different screen name or BM is being cranky because http://bookmooch.com/m/bio/foreigncircus comes up with
foreigncircus : member bio
?
Sorry, there is no member by that name.

If you send me your link, I'll look to see what you have. Love how generous BMers are, part od what I love in the community. I'm SKingList here and there.

Thanks!
Cari
Thanks so much Colleen! Mooched! *happy dance*

And I take your point... That's how I look at it too - and I know my local Borders has lost a huge amount from my purse! In fact, it is often better for me to send international in regards to cost per point. But local postage is expensive here, like Canada!

If you have another you think I might like to mooch, I am open to all sorts of recommendations BTW. :)
Thanks again - and if you need help from down here with a mooch, please ask...I'm actually an 'official' angel - meaning I'm on the list - is all.
~Lyn
Hi Colleen,
I'd love your copy of The Painter Knight, but would you be willing to send to Australia? I understand if it is too expensive - but nothing ventured, nothing gained... I guess. It would be much appreciated..
My BM name is Lman too - let me know,
~Lyn
Colleen,

Went to mooch the book today (wasn't able to get online yesterday because of power trouble) but unfortunately BM is down...I expect it'll be back up by tomorrow morning (it's 10pm here), but if you manage to get online before I do, I'd appreciate it if you'd extend the reservation :)

Sorry!

-Fern
Hi! I would love your extra copy of "The Day the Falls Stood Still" if it hasn't been already spoken for. On BookMooch my name is kayhardtmann. Thanks!
Hiya,

Sorry for the delay in replying - I've been away, lucky me :)

Despite a lot of trying, I've never managed to get this far with an angel, so congrats! Listing it and reserving it for me should work just fine, don't you think? :)

Many thanks for helping me out!

-Fern
Noticed you liked Tim Gautreaux, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's similar to Gautreaux's work (Tim Gautreaux actually directed my master's thesis). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

http://christophertusa.com/

Thanks,

Chris
I'm so glad you're enjoying The Wasp Eater. I thought it was great discovery myself!

Madeline
That's me...I remember you! I don't get over here too much but perhaps when school is out in 2 weeks, this FINALLY retired teacher will be able to spend more time on the blogs and such!Did you say you have your own blog as well? I have a review to get out and prepare for two giveways tomorrow night and with my working this week, it is harder to keep up....see you soon hopefully over at my BOOKIN' WITH BINGO! Thanks for being a friend! Karen
Hey Quinncx-
Not an inappropriate venue at all. Thank you so much for writing. I'm so glad that you and your mom both enjoyed THE LEISURE SEEKER. Thanks for your kind words.

I see you've already read Julie Metz' memoir. (And it isn't even out yet.) Julie designed the cover for the hardcover edition for my first book. We've just gotten to know each other over the past few months via Facebook. She's really cool. I'm looking forward to reading PERFECTION myself. I just got Tim Gautreaux's THE MISSING too. I'm looking forward to reading that too. I love his stories.

Hope this finds you well.

Best,
Michael

PS: Don't know if you're interested, but I'm doing a member giveaway on LibraryThing for my new collection of short fiction, THE LOST TIKI PALACES OF DETROIT. I think the details are on my author page. (Frankly, I'm still figuring out how to use LibraryThing.)
I have not received it yet? When did you mail it?
See that you received Firefly Lane. I hope that you enjoy this and I'd love to know your thoughts about it. It's my favorite book of 2008. The top favorite, in fact, not much comes close. I can't wait to read it again! I purchased a copy for an aunt and my mom for Christmas!
Colleen,

I'm happy to send you both books. PM me with your address, and I'll get them in the mail as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Traci
Ok, Colleen, I'll send it off tomorrow!!

Yes, it's great to be in community with lots of fellow book lovers! I think you'll love Rocket Man if you can ignore the swear words! ha.

Lisa..
Hi Colleen,

Email me your address at psychomamma (at) gmail (dot) com, and I'll send you Rocket Man!!

Lisa...
Hey Colleen- I'll mail it out first thing next week. Just let me know when it gets to you, please. And enjoy it!!

-Nicole
Hi Colleen,

Your reviews should be showing up at Here Be Reviews now. Keep in mind that only reviews posted in the last 48 hours will be in the list (used to be 5 days, but that was causing an unusual level of buggy-ness).

Cheers,
Anysia
The book is yours- just private comment me with your mailing address and I'll media-mail it your way. =)
