About meI'm a bum-in-transition with a recently awarded Masters degree in genomics and computational biology. No job, though. Oh well, at least I have books to occupy my ample free time.
About my libraryI will read anything, provided that it keeps me from thinking too much about biology for a few hours. I read mostly fiction, although I have many mathematical texts, histories, essays, and other nonfiction books in my library. I didn't read for pleasure in grade school, so when I got to college I began digging up all the stuff I missed out on; if my fiction seems like a high school reading list, this is the reason.
I enjoy reading Vonnegut and Steinbeck, and I am developing a taste for Pynchon as well. When I read nonfiction for fun, it is usually a history or a math text.
