I do like Jane Yolen quite a lot. I haven't entered most of my children's books yet, but when I do, you'll see that I have many by her. And I agree, she is a versatile author. She writes for all ages. I even did an author study on her when I was in college. If you ever want to try Cynthia Voigt, I recommend starting with Jackaroo, The Calendar Papers, or Homecoming. Those three are my favorites.
