About meI am a non-native speaker of German, raising my son in German and English. I started out speaking German in the afternoons with him (hence the name of my blog and my user name here - German i(n) t(he) a(fternoon) = Germanita!) I've been on a quest since before my son was born to build a library of German children's books. I utilize some online resources to buy books but also rely heavily on a close German friend to bring us back books from her travels home.

About my libraryI wanted a place to keep track of all the books we have for my son's German library. With this site, I can catalog the books and share the list with other German-speakers raising bilingual children.
