About me Obsessive about Rimbaud and Muhammad Ali and Bob Dylan and lots of others. Work in an independent bookstore as an inventory manager. My latest books, "Some Natural Things", can be found at the wonderful Kamini Press (www.kaminipress.com); and "Rimbaud In The City: 10 Snapshots" is available at Kendra Steiner Editions (http://kendrasteinereditions.wordpress.c...)

About my library A little bit of everything, but a lot of Bob Dylan, horse racing, William Burroughs, Rimbaud and Ali.

Hi Glenn,
Thank you for your comment. A few years ago I renewed my interest in Dylan. At the same time I discovered the ebay thing. So I start buying a lot of books of BD at ebay from all over the world. An unknown collectors drift appears to me! Now with LibraryThing it's obvious that there are still books I do not have but want to buy. I've read your recommendations for a few titles and reconsider my purchases.

I've visited the last concert in Amsterdam in April 2007. It was fantastic! In the autumn of 2005 I was part of the audience in Rotterdam, my first Dylan concert and I didn't like it at all. He coughed his songs and I thought that he was in a desperate need of hot tea and honey.
Yea, I saw you have quite a bit of William S. Burroughs. One of my favorites, too.
I apologize for the delayed reply, as I rarely check my profile page. Yes, I have the Ruffian book by Lyn Lifshin. Very unique. Thanks for the heads up. Sometimes I forget to add a book and appreciate anything that might trigger the addition of something that has been overlooked.
Well Glenn, you can't really imagine living in Ethiopia because nothing can prepare you for the experience. Sometimes I feel as if I'm an only slightly detached observer in an absurdist play or story. But if you like Rimbaud, you should most definitely visit Harar, the third-holiest city in the Muslim world, and its famous "Rimbaud House," which was just fully restored a few months ago.
Seriously, the next person who asks me for a book by a description of its cover, with no clue what the book's about is going to get a smack.
The poem in the Hemingway was the poem about the Hemingway. About the cat in the rain. It must have been in there for three or four years now.
Sorry to be so late in replying. Isn't this fun? Now we have ten books in common and when I get through entering my poetry, it should be even more. I am also a poet, and would have liked to work in a bookstore, but worked in a library instead. Send me a poem?
Hey, your bookses turned up! Very excited. They're pretty, I'm looking forward to reading though them some time soon with a scotch and some good records playing.
I was sorting through my bookshelf recently, to make more room, and I found a poem of yours that I'd printed out, tucked in my copy of the old man & the sea.
sorry wrong #
Hi--

Yeah librarything is deluxe. And meeting other readers--esp readers who read the same things as you--can only be good.

Corey
and rimbaud too. i love rimbaud. i read a little bit at least once every few days.
you're right Glenn. i remember buying the birthday book! i found it at a ratty little underground bookstore in dallas. i think they're still there. i'd never heard of it. i heard that david ohle wrote a little burroughs thing called MUTATE OR DIE. i need to get it. and, EVERYTHING LOST: the burroughs latin american notebook comes out soon. this month or next if i'm not mistaken. i need to catch up. glad you came around.
Hello Glenn & thanks for your comment. Yes,indeed, I did find it a very interesting book. I don't know if you've been to Allen Botkin's website, but it's worth checking out. I got in touch with him through the website to discuss a specific incident, and found him to be both very interesting and interested in what I had to say.
