About meMy interests are for the most part history, with an emphasis on the ancient history of various civilisations ranging from Mesoamerica to classical Greek and Roman times or any other period that makes a particular impression upon me. Frequently, inspired by my books, I combine areas of interest with travel - another passion of mine.

About my libraryVarious history books, to a lesser extent literature in German and English, not to mention a modest collection of reference books on a multitude of subjects.

I have also developed an interest in Latin American Literature, to which I intend to devote more time in the future. As I prefer hardcover books, I am finding it rather difficult to acquire the English translations of most of the Spanish literature from Central and South America that I am currently looking for.
