About me I am both a reader and a writer. I prefere novels that hedge between commercial and literary fiction. The rewards of reading are proportional to the emotional investment made. I think, however, it is more the author's job to make the reader emotionally invested, not the other way around. I try to write what I preach, and let every word serve a purpose. In my opinion, good writing pulls the reader along, but not too fast.
