About meI work in library education, and as a grandmother I want this site to be used by children.

(It is also part of my lifelong learning process, and the current use of Web2)

I live in a big old house with a large garden that has lots of special places for children. Upstairs is where the bookshelves are located for bedtime stories.

Oh, and I do have a cat, but do not harbor mice!!

About my libraryI began collecting children's books to share with my grandchildren, and I now concentrate on 'Little Mouse Books', little meaning the mouse, as some books are quite big!

I also collect non book material such as videos, games and toys that are relevant to the collection.

I have all of Beatrix Potter's works, as well as books about her. Therefore some of these are the exceptions to the mouse theme. They are of course family. Jemima Puddleduck and Mrs Tiggywinkle being siblings of the Two Bad Mice and Mrs Tittlemouse. And you can always rely on a rat or two sneaking in somewhere!

More recently, I have kept details of where and when I have acquired the items, particulary whilst travelling.

By the time I finish adding my collection, there should be about 500 items.
