About my library The acting, directing and film-making books, the medieval literature and most of the drama collection are all John's, the 18th century - 21st century literature, children's literature, info. technology and science fiction are Beth's and we share a large number of the classics and eastern philosophy works.

I too was led here by the conspicuous tag 'irretrievably wet.' To lose so many books must've been painful... I'm sorry for your loss.
Sorry to hear about the flooding, but glad to know you didn't think one of my favorite novels (Powers' The Gold-Bug Variations) was 'irretrievably wet.' (I will have to use that phrase to describe a book someday, though, I think. You seem to be taking your loss in good stride, though!
