About me I'm a PhD student at Göteborg University, department of systematics and biodiversity. For the next four-odd years, I'll be cataloguing, barcoding and in all kinds of ways analyzing the Swedish feather-eating lice (Phthiraptera: Ischnocera and Amblycera). This work will, apart from my dissertation, result in a monograph of the Swedish species published as a part of the Swedish taxonomy Initiative's Nationalnyckeln series. I think writing that monograph is the scariest part of my future work, as that, much more than my thesis, will require me to excel in all aspects of lice nature; luckily, then, the Phthiraptera are not as exhaustively researched yet as many other groups.

For the last ~2 years, I have been working with systematics of clitellates and (more recently) extraction and sequencing of DNA from clitellates, birds, a yak and several wasps.

In my free time, I am a birdwatcher and a reader of whatever catches my eye. As can perhaps be seen in my library, it generally doesn't matter what the book is about, as long as I find it interesting.
