As human beings we all want to be happy and free from misery.
We have learned that the key to happiness is inner peace.
The greatest obstacles to inner peace are disturbing emotions such as
anger and attachment, fear and suspicion,
while love and compassion, a sense of universal responsibility
are the sources of peace and happiness.

hi i'm new and lookin for friends.
Hi girl,

I picked up the last book, but it's on the shelf. I've been reading simply short stories of late due to the fact that I'm back in school with a heavy class load and little time. I'm taking education classes. I'm enrolled in Oregon State and have just started working towards an education degree. With any luck at all, I'll be a teacher in about two years.

I thought we were friend already too, but I think they did something to the site and it was lost.
Hello girl. We're planning our first trip to Disney World. The plan right now is for Dec 15 - Dec 22 of this year.
Up to 1040 now.
I'm past 800 now, a ways to go still.
1000+ books and we only have 8 in common! I better enter the rest of my books.
Hi Heather. OK, both you and mom have more books entered than I do now. Perhaps I should quit my job and just enter books for a week or two or three. It's fun enerting them though. I have to verify still that the export file put out can be sucked into some other program in case this site goes under. I don't want all the work to be for naught.

This has been the 'American Author Summer' for me, I've read some R.E. Howard short stories, Faulkner's first book "Soldiers' Pay", and I'm currently reading a Steinbeck book called 'The Wayward Bus". I'm thinking I'll pick up a Hemingway that I haven't read when I'm done and by then I should be thoroughly washed in early 20th century American Male Manly Writing.
