Irritating full of itself. I didn't know prose had an identity. But you should try Tobacco Sticks, my second novel. I think you will find the style modest and restrained. I wouldn't give up after 75pages though. I'm sure you read Finnegans Wake and The Sound and the Fury or Sanctuary...imagine if you gave up on those after the first 75 pages. Take care.
