About meI am a retired 8th grade English and American history teacher. I'm the author of the recently published historical novel "Crossing the River," which narrates the trying experiences of numerous participants in the Battles of Lexington and Concord April 19, 1775. I love competitive sports, having coached boys and girls school teams when I taught. A graduate of UCLA, I especially enjoy college basketball. I support progressive political candidates and causes.
About my libraryI especially appreciate introspective, empathetic characters that are unwilling to accept exploitation and injustice. Some of the books in my library are books I assigned my students to read, stories about people and life situations with which they had little familiarity.
