About meHawk MacKinney. He grew up in the mountains of Arkansas, where he began writing mysteries for his school newspaper. During Hawk MacKinney's service as a Navy Commander, he was on the faculty at several major medical universities. He has two postgraduate doctoral degrees with studies in languages and history, was a faculty member at several major state medical facilities. Taught postgraduate courses in both the United States and Jerusalem, and authored professional articles and chordate embryology texts on anatomy. Hawk is well known for several published novels. Moccasin Trace, a historical romance, was nominated for the prestigious Michael Shaara Award for Excellence in Civil War Fiction and the Writers Notes Book Award, and is the family background for the serial protagonist in the “Craige Ingram Mystery Series”. Vault of Secrets, the first book in his "Ingram Mystery Series," received national attention. Nymrod Resurrection, 2010 is the second book in the series. Blood and Gold, 2011 is volume III, and The Lady of Corpsewood Manor, 2012 is volume IV in The Craige Ingram Mystery Series. A second 2012 release will be the first in a Sci-Fi series.
