So sorry its taken so long to reply back - I've not really been on Library Thing too much -been doing a lot with GoodReads.
Yes I read Flowers for Algernon - and it is one of my favorite books. I noticed you gave high marks to a Neil Gaiman book -I'm reading my first one of his (Starting with Stardust).
I also recently read Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn - I thought it was good - but I was a bit let down because based on the reviews I think I expected more.

Saw your library thing listing from the cafelibri site - I'm rsullivan9597 over there. I've not really done much with my LibraryThing account yet - but will flesh out my books soon.

I would highly recommend Empire Falls by Richard Russo, if you haven't read it. Russo does an excellent job with character studies. This was the first book of his I ever read, and although I have read others now, it remains my favorite. Check it out if you get a chance.
