About meFrom Malibu Lake's quiet shores, I hail thee, fellow reader! I am the former Chief Archivist for The Law Offices of Petty, Smilodon & Ruth, and have, since 1978, been the sidekick of the impossibly beautiful Fayaway. Together we ramble the globe, looking for protozoa, paranormal phenomena, and out-of-place artifacts. We are also co-curators of the Malibu Lake branch of The Invisible Library, started by Mr. Brian Quinette.
About my libraryThis library is more the product of a disordered mind than of a organized principle of collection, and it reflects all periods of my life. Though its roots run deep into my past, I have selected only books that I read regularly, which are imprinted on my soul in indelible ink, or which explore a phenomenon with which either attracts or repulses with such force that my interest in it might be called obsessive.
Ever since I underwent Dr. Voronoff's monkey gland operation in 1978, I have difficulty sitting still for extended periods of time; for that reason my collection favors lyric poetry and short stories over epics and novels, as much as I appreciate those genres.
Limited as I am to 200 books, the collection features only one book by each author (with two exceptions). Inaccurate, yes, but we all find, however we may try, that we are at times enslaved by another's system.

When all thoughts
Are exhausted
I slip into the woods
And gather
A pile of shepherd's purse.
Like the little stream
Making its way
Through the mossy crevices
I, too, quietly
Turn clear and transparent.
