About me32 year old male. Belgian. Has a profound interest in Russian classics, avant-garde literature, German and Austrian literature and the history of publishing.

Books are a big part of my life. I was raised in a house without books but brimful of stories. My love for books has always had an influence on my professional life. From working at bookshops, to owning my own 2nd hand bookstore and now my work at a publishing house.

Starting october 2008 I'll host a reading group in Antwerp. At one of Belgium's best bookshops: De Groene Waterman. The next months we'll be reading and discussing the following books:

- Spieltrieb by Juli Zeh
- Hunger by Knut Hamsun
- Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoi
- The Light by Torgny Lindgren
- Storm of steel by Ernst Jünger
- number 9 dream by David Mitchell
- Tobias en de dood van J. Van Oudshoorn

If you're in the neighbourhood & feel like reading and discussing one (or more) of the above feel free to drop by. More information can be found on the website of the shop: http://www.groenewaterman.be/

Steven,
ben jij present op HAB 2009? Ik ben hoogstwaarschijnlijk eens van plan om het af te komen.
Hans.
