About meI'm a 74 yr old who's been a reader since kindergarten. As most teen aged girls do, I read every fiction book I could find in the local library with horse and dog stories. Then, at about the age of 13, I discovered science fiction and was hooked. Eventually, I found out that mysteries appealed as well because you needed to read carefully to pick up the clues to find out "whodunit". So while I read just about anything I can lay my hands on, I'm still mostly interested in fiction - science fiction, thrillers, adventures, and mysteries.

About my libraryMy actual library consists for many hardcover science fiction books from the days when I belonged to the Science Fiction Book Club. Now I find it less expensive to buy paperback. I have a large collection of paperbacks, most of which I am now donating to the library system here on Oahu, mostly because I need the space to handle the new books I buy that keeps Borders and Amazon in business. In order to follow up with stories from authors whose stories fascinate me, I'm not beyond going to Amazon's used book section. Some people are like me and keep their books (even their paperbacks) in almost mint condition.
