Always nice to find other fans of Martin. I still have A Feast for Crows left to read in ASOIF. How did you like it?

And of course, you have to love Tolkien.

Oops, I said a bit more that was cut off because it looked like a tag.

The livejournal link is my post about the movie.

Of course it can't. Or maybe it can, but I don't remember and can't imagine either *silly*

'Vaks' translates to 'kvikk' in Norwegian (which again can also be 'kvik' in Danish). Rather oldfashioned and uncool word, but nice in this title - at least in my opinion.

"Finish and organize your tags, you lazy sod."

You talkin' to me? Huh? Well, you're right. ;)

Tak for de pæne ord!

"Håndbog for vakse galakse-blaffere" is a translation fron the eighties and I loved it (I didn't really read English then). Last year there came a new translation (because of the movie) that I bought but haven't dared to read yet - unlike the four volumes that came in the eighties, each part in the new complete edition has been translated by a different person and I'm not sure that's a good thing - and I certainly don't think the titles are nearly as good as the old ones. "Blafferens galakseguide" - boring! Pity...
Ok, end of the ramblings of an old and bitter man! :p
