About meI love to write novels and draw cartoons. My novel 'A Decent Ransom' is being published in October by the fabulous folks known as Kunati. Other things that make life worth living: good conversation, good coffee, chocolate, original ideas, saving the planet for all creatures big and small, kindness, people who do not take themselves seriously, European forests, Prague, Ostrava in the early 1980s, cobble-stoned streets anywhere, cute bear cubs, skateboarding, walking dogs on the beach, travelling back in time, writing, drawing cartoons, and of course, good books...:)

About my libraryI love to read anything that is well written. Favourite authors include Josef Skvorecky, Haruki Murakami, John Irving, Charlotte Bronte, Milan Kundera and Emile Zola. Favourite books include 'The Engineer of Human Souls' (best book ever written on this here planet:), 'Norwegian Wood' and 'Papillon'.
