May all be free from sorrow and the causes of sorrow;
May all never be separated from the sacred happiness which is sorrowless;
And may all live in equanimity, without too much attachment and too much aversion,
And live believing in the equality of all that lives.
traditional buddhist prayer

Makes me pee my pants evrytime I read it.
Have you ever read Katie MacAlister's "A Girls's Guide To Vampires" or "Noble Intentions"? (historical)
These are the among some of the funniest books I had read at the time and I still pull them out when I need a laugh. They retain their humor no matter how many times I've read them.

Sort of chick lit with a real bite, and a bunch of blood, murder and mayhem? Hey you can even model the main character after you and me...(snort) Ok you can stop puking now,I was just joking!!!

I hope your holiday season is everything you'd like it to be.
I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your recent message to me -- the one about how much you like to ride etc. I was so struck by the vividness. It seemed to me like a poem, so I went ahead and versified it. The following is word for word with only one change in punctuation. To me, it reads great. What do you think?
--------
I've always liked horses with a lot of flash
and fire...high heads and good leg action,
and lots of spirit under saddle.
I've done my share of training the green ones
to ride and there is nothing like taking
an untrained beast and turning him into
a class act.
My saddlebred is 16.3 hands
...a lot of horse, and that animal can
make you damn near weep from his beauty
when he moves out,
aside from the pretty moves.
I like to burn up the field with a dead out
gallop, as fast as a horse can carry me.
That's a lot of power to perch on and trust
with your life.
---------
I like it so much!

OK. I'll try Ms. Ward. After checking Amazon, it looks like "Dark Lover" is the first of the series. Is that the best place to start?
Thanks for the guidance.

Oh, horses! One of the few species that God got entirely right. I grew up on a working cattle ranch and was in the saddle from a very early age. At eight, my job was to "ride fence" -- ride along, check to see where the barbed wire was broken, and report back to the big guys. When I was eleven, they gave me the tools to fix the fence when I found a break -- but I was still riding. When I was fourteen, I was set to buidling fences. No more riding every day. I got off the ranch as fast as I could after that.
I'd like to know more about your horses? Do you ride often?
