About meI'm 60, single, (divorced), one son who's in the US Army.
I'm a retired (disabled) writer, photographer, computer professional.

About my libraryIt's very eclectic, from a wide variety of sources. My family has always had books in the home, so my comfort level includes books everywhere. I had several thousand volumes until a few years back, when space and $$ forced me to sell many. I was down to probably 500 volumes, when ALL my worldly goods were stolen.
I'm now building up a new collection, a few books at at time. I probably have more Bibles than anything else.
I also have a collection of MOST of the Life Library of Photography collection. That's probably my proudest possession at this time, besides my 1951 copy of the Webster's Encyclopedic Dictionary (a massive volume).

Oh, BTW, Nancy's got a copy of the Darwin Awards. She gets a chuckle out of the ridiculous stuff in it. I seem to remember there's an online site with updated information. A recent one she read about was over in Europe where some very drunk individuals carrying a landmine walked into a bar and thought it would be a cool idea to jump ONTO the landmine. The bar cleared out immediately, the landmine exploded, and the drunks died. Instant candidates for Darwin Award.
Hi John. It's Carl (a.k.a. - Beukeboom). I tend to use the last name of my all-time favorite NHL player, Jeff Beukeboom formerly of the New York Rangers (now retired).
