Actually, it looks like you can see a preview of Fashioning Teenagers at Google Books (books.google.com). It's been awhile since I read it, but I remember lots of charts and statistics. Maybe Joan Jacobs Brumberg's Body Project? (can see previews of it on Google Books too) seems like that was written with somewhat younger readers in mind...
Hi: Fashioning Teenagers is a scholarly book and it might be too dry/academic for 12 year olds. I'm not really familiar with what would be appropriate for readers of that age, though, so you might want to look at it yourself to make a determination...
thank you for telling me how to rate the 1/2's :)
Judy - Glad to hear the book arrived. Enjoy! --Janel
Hi Judy,

Thanks for letting me know you got your books. I really appreciate it. I was feeling so down that the books were delayed, thinking that they'd never get to you. I feel sorry for Tim, Abbey, and Jeremy who put so much effort into this fun idea - only to be hit with such a terribly long delay. I think this whole SantaThing has been much more tedious than fun this year, although I know that overseas post is out of our hands.

Well... Happy Groundhog Day! The White Tiger's a fun read. Hope you like the other books I chose for you.

Judy - I just put your page in the mail. Thanks for the heads up about the customs form. Enjoy!

I saw that you commented on your SantaThing Santee's page with picks, but they weren't saved. I thought it best to alert you so you can fix it, just in case you hadn't planned to go back the page any time soon! This happened to several people, so I suspect the submission form will be changed a bit next year. :)
