No I haven't met her in person, but I have met other authors (Barbra Hambly, Tom Deitz, and a couple others). A friend of mine had her books and introduced me to the talent of Anne McCaffrey.
Hi, pleased to meet you. :) That's cool we have a lot in common.
A friend of mine introduced me to Anne McCaffrey. She made a quilt of the map of Pern and when I saw it I asked her about and she told me where the map came from. She loaned me a copy of her book, and I was hooked. :)
Hello. Just decided to drop by and leave a note. I see you've read the Ballad of Lucy Whipple. I don't own it but I really like historical fiction and am wondering what you thought of it.
Interesting library. A lot of stuff I recognised, even if I don't own it. I noted your high rating of Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry. That was one of the finest books I've ever come across. Always nice to meet people who like variety.
I like your library, Jizzyjazzy! You have lots of good books. I'm going to have to try out a few! :3
Have you ever read the Chronicles of Prydain or Time Cat by Lloyd Alexander?
Anyway, have a good day!
Hey there - just wanted to leave a message and let you know that I was here. I love an open minded reader!!
Sorry, I thought you were looking to find out what other people were reading for school. Sometimes I'm on LT while being half asleep at the same time!! For a suggestion I just recently read Skin Hunger by Kathleen Duey that I thought was really great. It wasn't really like Harry Potter but it did have wizards and a very dark tone that reminded me a lot of the last two Harry Potter books. Kathleen Duey has also written a set of horse stories, but I haven't read any of them. Another fantasy (I read mostly fantasy) you could try is The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley. Two of the major side characters were a cat and a horse. Another couple really good sets of books I'd recommend are The Guardians of Time by Marianne Curley (The Named, The Dark and The Key) and the Mediator series by Meg Cabot (if you liked Twilight at all, you'll really like The Mediator series.)

IMHO it is a very good idea to "test drive" books by taking out library books. It can save you a lot of money in the long run :-)
Please! Please! Please! Please! please! if you come to my site just leave a little hi or hello I really want to see who comes to my site Thanks

I am a very mature 8th grader. I am a person who only goes to the library to try a book out before I buy it. I need a bigger book shelf at the rate of book consumption I am going. My friends don't understand why i get depressed after I finish a book (I just can never find another book until about two days after a finished the last one). I can read and listen to music at the same time. I'm also addicted to horses and cats. I love to play volley ball and my favorite movie is between Singing in the Rain, National Velvet, and The Holiday. I love any movie with Anne Hathaway in it.
