Hi – have you weighed in yet on the next book for Group Reads – Literature? The discussion thread is here. And Irish set up a poll for us here (it can be amended if there’s lots of interest in a book that isn’t on there yet). Hope to see you there!

Terri
Hi Jujo! 'Womyn' is a book I already read. Very good book. As a Hindu American girl, I was very inspired, since I am very conscious of tortures against womyn in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh by Indian men, especially tortures like burning with fire or acid if the Indian wife disobeys the Indian husband. Double standards really offend me. They are pretty rampant in India. This book helped to be more aware of those traditional double standards still in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh today, even in Arab countries and Iran as well. Indian, Arab, and Persian womyn should be enlightened by this book, along with other womyn of other racial ethnicities in the world today. FYI, my first name is Femme (French for 'feminine'). Thank you for welcoming me to Librarything. I appreciate having you as a friend. Take care!
I miss Rory's book club too...but LT has been a great fill to that void. =) No rush on the LT group for W&P. That's the great thing about reading books online in a group. No matter when you get to something the disscussion threads will still be there...and there will always people who will jump in after you to discuss something. So take your time, focus on school (I want grades in the 90% range for those finals!!!! *lol*) and when you get to it you get to it. =)

Good luck on all your finals and happy reading!!!! =)
I'm surprised that school is giving you any time to read at all! I hated that about college...how it killed most of my reading time. *lol*. War & Peace is going good so far, though I'm only a small fraction of the way into it. I really need to start devoting more time than I have to reading it. There is a LT group that has been formed around the reading of the book. I'll send you an invite...then one day when you make your way to this weighty tome you can come back and join in the discussion. =)

How are things with you?
I routinely read more then one book at once. =)

How is like in the land of sun and fun? did you have a good holiday?
Just popping in to say hello =)
Persepolis was a great read. I need to get the second one now.
I remember you read Persepolis a while ago. Did you enjoy it?
I have myspace and here....not sure that I really need another place to keep up on.
I am part of the "cool" kids Jujo...and there will be no talking bad izzy...don't make me come to SA to hurt you.

;-)
I added you back. Gail hasn't joined yet, so we'll be able to talk about her behind her back. ;-)
She's just not as cool as us Izzy. She resisted when she should have known that it was better...and easier...to just give in.
What took you so long to get here?
Hey Jujo!
