About meIT Consultant based out of New Jersey. Love dogs, especially my two boys, Murphy and Buddy. I also ride motorcycles.

About my libraryNever complete. I learned a valuable lesson several years ago. In an effort to reclaim space in my house, I chose enough books to fill two boxes, then sold them to Half-Priced Books for a mere $12. Within a year, I wanted to go back to one of those books to review the material. I still mourn the loss of those books. Since then, I have vowed to never discard another book. Ok, there is one exception... very old, outdated computer books. :-D

It's me again (Valerie). What kind of motorcycle do you ride?
Hi, Kirstie!

It's me, V, from the library! Good to see you're on Library Thing!
Thank you for assuring me that I am not just hoarder, that once gone books are not readily discovered again. My daughter insists I can go back and find them in the library. Not the same thing at all.
"He has achieved success
who has lived well,
laughed often, and loved much;
who has enjoyed the trust of pure women,
the respect of intelligent men
and the love of little children;
who has filled his niche and accomplished his task;
who has left the world better than he found it
whether by an improved poppy,
a perfect poem, or a rescued soul;
who has never lacked appreciation of Earth's beauty
or failed to express it;
who has always looked for the best in others
and given them the best he had;
whose life was an inspiration;
whose memory a benediction."

I agree, but have to be honest that on some days I feel like some brain dead movement is in order! About 2 years ago I was able to purchase a HUGE number of books from the local library when they were having a book sale. At the end of the sale they were going to recycle all the leftovers and I dove in and made a donation to take them all home! I got a ton of really OLD science books and some very funny children's books too! When I get all the books in, you will have to take a look at the titles! I look forward to recommendations from you! Thanks again for the cue cat! I hope to hear from you soon!
