Hey, it looks like we have some similar interests. What is your favorite poetry?
Cateline, I read it a long time ago and then remembered it recently and reread it. It was still good the second time around and the passage of time gave it a certain aura. And Makine is definitely worth reading.
Great reviews Karlus! I have only read one Makine, Dreams of My Russian Summers and thoroughly enjoyed it, this one sounds exceptional, I must pull it to the tip of my TBR stack! Thanks.

I read By Love Possessed last year for the first time and your review captures it completely. Wonderful story.
Thanks! I've ordered the next in line as well. :) I'd love to get them all, but it's just too much at present.
Hi, I noticed several chess titles in your catalog and thought you may like to check my forum site out- www.ChessForums.org, we have a dedicated section to chess books and recommended reading you may be interested in, thanks, Greg
Thanks for your kind comments over at my profile. I'm a big believer in reviews (especially here at LibraryThing), and it's nice to get appreciative comments.
I'll look forward to reading your "Books Compared" review of the Woolf trio when your finished with The Waves. Once you post it, I'll invite another wave of potential members who I think will enjoy reading it.
Thanks for joining Books Compared. Your other reviews are great and have reinspired me to read The Worst Hard Time and The Lost German Slave Girl, both of which have long been on my list of books to get around to -- and I really must read some Nabokov. I hope you'll post a comparison soon and help to define how the group works! There are really no rules, except to share whatever you're inspired to share after reflecting on two (or more) different books.
Hey, thanks! I'll get around to writing about how much I love Nabokov sooner or later...nice catalog.
