About meI have a degree in Elementary Education that I have never used. (found out I didn't like teaching my senior year at college...go figure...should have stayed with History) I love music, theater and of course books. I read mostly historical fiction. I like poetry that I can understand. I'm not a fast reader, but a steady one. Sometimes I will slow down while reading a book just so I can savor it a little longer. Like many readers I have tried my hand at writing, but I don't think it is meant to be. If I was meant to be writer I would be writing and not thinking of excused for not writing. I'm married and have two daughters that are turning out much smarter than their mother. (thank goodness)
My other interest in music. I sing in two very different groups. The first is a Choral Society that sings more difficult classical type music. This is a challenge for me as I don't read music most of the other's in the group. The director says I have a good voice and I learn very quickly to I get by and I like the challenge. The other group is called Mature Mob. It is a group of people over the age of 50 who put a show on every year to raise money for the Senior Service of Central Illinois. The group is not only singers, but tap dancers, ball room dancers and country western line dancers. It is a much looser group. The shows have corny jokes and a lot of old song as well as newer ones. Over the last seventeen years the group has donated over $200,000 to Senior Sevices.

I'm starting to add the children and young adult books I bought for my daughters. Sometimes they like my choices, sometimes they don't. But, if it is listed I read it. I generally leave comments in the comment box section of "your library"

No, I have never read anything by her. I'll have to add her to my list. Thanks for commenting. I do think that the connections made on librarything is one of the best part about the site.
