About meI play with cats, I read books, I take photos, I travel, I walk on my treadmill, I'm half-heartedly doing an art history degree, I don't do housework. This is not an exciting life unless I'm travelling.
About my libraryMy main category is travel - until I started Library Thinging I didn't realize quite how many travel books I had. Light reading is usually detective fiction and I'll also read 'literature' when I'm in the mood.
I write short reviews on my blog of books I've just finished reading. See line below for link.

I just found LibraryThing a few days ago and already it is an addiction for me! We have about 12 books in common so far, but I have not added all my Jane Austen books. What I found interesting about your profile is that you live in a place that I have wanted to visit for years (Banff, Calgary) and you used to live in one of my favorite places in England (Salisbury). I am in Lexington, Kentucky, and I don't have much of a profile yet, but I'm definately going to be getting some ideas of new books from your library!

I meant to write a note yesterday when I added you but other things caught up with me and I had to leave LT.
I added you as you are the LT member who has most books in common with me - as you say it's mainly detective fiction. I split that category in half at the year 1960 and most of the books are 1960 to present.
I've got about half my books catalogued so far and I've also done about 600 of my husband's books in a separate account for him - his are mainly action-adventure with a bit of aviation thrown in.
My second half will all be non-fiction. There's lots of art history, photography, local history and geneaology, recipes, heart health, and the category that will blow everything else out of the water - travel!
I now live between Calgary and Banff in western Canada but came here in 1977 from England. My parents were from Edmonton and Enfield in North London but my father was in the Army so we lived all over the place. My last few years in England were spent in the Salisbury-Amesbury (Stonehenge) area of Wiltshire.
I enjoy looking at your book list especially as you actually own your books and they're not a wishlist - that's very irritating! I've picked up all sorts of ideas for new books to read but I'm wondering where to put them all. Our 2500-3000 are taking over the house and I can't imagine where I'll put another 50 years' worth as I hate to give any of them away.
Thanks for writing - have a great weekend.

and nice to hear from you about adding my Library to you list of those you deem 'Interesting'.I see on looking at your Profile page that we share 259 books at the moment, and that one of your tags is 'detective fiction-1960 to present day 'and another is 'detective fiction-ancient...' I shall look forward to perusing these when I have a little time to spare.I hope that you will in turn enjoy looking through my listings, which are mainly divided into countries, with the exception of those tagged as historical Crime fiction.I plan to further separate them in due course.
Anyway thanks for adding me and I hope to hear from you again soon
Best wishes from the UK. (as you do not say where you come from, you may be from my part of the world as well for all I know,or you may be from somewhere much more exotic)
