About meI'm from 1969 and as far as I can remember I've always been reading. I don't know what it's like to be without books. Apart from reading, I'm a big fan of my daughter, classical music and travelling, preferably to tropical Asian destinations.

About my libraryNot that large, and a mixture of books on classical music, literature, biographies and history. Once in a while I really enjoy a crime novel or two, but somehow I always feel the need of reading the well-known classics and Dutch literature.

Thanks Koen. I got the Agony and the Ecstasy last night, stayed up too late reading, and this morning looked up photos of the works mentioned so far...It does make you curious about art. Thank you for the further recommendations. If I find something great, I'll mention it to you.
Hi Koen 1,
On the page for The Agony and the Ecstasy, about Michaelangelo, you mentioned the book made you read more books about painting and sculpture. Can you recommend any (in English?) that you liked especially? I'm curious too.

Thank you!
