About meI'm a painfully slow reader. I never learned to skim. On the other hand, my brain takes a snapshot of pages as I read so that I can usually go back and find a passage within a quadrant of two pages, i.e., the passage was in the lower right-hand corner of the right page. At the library or bookstore, you'll usually find me in the fiction section. I don't know why, but I'm going for an MFA in Creative Writing.
About my libraryMy library is small and consists mostly of literature. I joined Library Thing to expand my horizons on reading and writing. I have a snarky attitude toward commercial fiction, mainly because it's about the business of sales rather than the business of the human soul. I've been reading fiction since I was in third grade, reading with a flashlight under the covers.
