About meEarly 20's female grad student. Liberal native Southerner. Recent city transplant. Bibliophile, self-proclaimed bohemian, lover of nostalgia, wannabe writer, amateur historian. Slightly restrained hedonist; nonconformist still partially bound by quasi-genteel upbringing.

About my libraryEclectic, to say the least, but with definite leanings toward: New South & Southern Gothic literature, children's/YA literature, memoirs (the more shocking, the better), some cheesy girly stuff (not quite chick lit), sociological studies (especially 60's/counterculture/intentional communities), and African-American literature/poetry. Oh, and books about cooking and/or eating! Some other odds and ends thrown in for good measure. I'm adding slowly but surely.

Hey there, new friend. I'd love some New South or Southern Gothic Literature recommendations when you have the time. Nice to have some interest from fellow Atlantans, I just moved here and with a young son I don't get out to meet people too often.
