About meI've been reading all my life; I love books and everything about them... obviously, I love to read them, but I also love holding them, smelling them, browsing through them, looking at the shape of them on a shelf. I don't know if that makes me crazy or not. I have a B.A. in English, and I hope to go back someday and get a masters (and a doctorate?) in literature. I'm currently working at a local bookstore - not too bad being surrounded by books for a living. ;)

"I cannot remember a time when I was not in love with them - with the books themselves, cover and binding and the paper they were printed on, with their smell and their weight and with their possession in my arms, captured and carried off to myself." ~ Eudora Welty

About my libraryWell, my physical "library" consists of a series of bookshelves in my office and bedroom; 3 stacks in a box on the floor; and, sadly, several boxes in temporary storage while I look for a new home. I have dreams of owning a home with a true library in it; for now, I'm just working on acquiring enough books to full it.

My library has a wide variety of genres within both fiction and nonfiction, but are dominated by traditional/classic favorites and suspense/action novels. I have a lot of Christian fiction because that's what my mom used to buy me because she knew it'd be clean - it's the same as any other kind of writing - some it's good, some of it's not. My favorite authors are Shakespeare, Austen, and Dee Henderson.

I've catalogued all the books I have access to, but I still have a few boxes in storage, unfortunately. And for anybody interested, my rating system is as follows:
5 stars - one of my all-time favorite books
4 stars - very good book
3 stars - worth your time
2 stars - ok, but not great
1 star - complete garbage

Thanks for letting me know about the contents of your Shelock Holmes. I can't find any similar works on Doyle's page, it may well be that you are the only owner currently on LT!
