I have been checking out your library because I am amazed to see someone with so many similar books- I thought I was the only person twisted (and intelligent) enough to read this stuff! I am imagining that your dissertation was on gothic lit. or something of the sort? Mine was on Shirley Jackson (gothic & anti-domestic). I have only entered my "display bookshelf" so far, but I'm working on the rest as I unpack. I am looking forward to finding books in your library that I haven't read...

Hey, it's Jet! My library isn't complete yet, as I'm adding them manually, but my favorites are up. :) Thanks for sharing your info - I look forward to browsing your virtual shelves!
i have added yours to my Interesting Libraries..and somehow your "added" books end up on my pages...so i may request a Friendship...check out my Library if you like...all that vampire?gothic business..i am glad we have the Davenport Hines in common...that book was a revelation:::)()(
your Latest post was in 2007? should i continue here...or are you dead in the water?
Hi Lachrymosa,

My friend invitation of a month or so back must have seemed pretty out-of-the-blue. Sorry about that - I hadn't realized at the time that there was an "Interesting Libraries" option, and I loved your catalog so much, I wanted to somehow link up with you. I frequently check out your virtual bookshelves for suggestions on future purchases. Great stuff!

Howdy! I noticed that we share quite a few of the same books. (Well, 32 is a lot for me, considering that I only have about 100 listed so far.)

If you don't mind sharing--I was wondering, what's your favorite novel of all time? Or novels?

Here’s wishing you a weekend filled with wacky whims, wonderful weirdness, and well-disposed werecats.

-Jeremy :)
At present we only share 174 books. Wait until I get to the horror/vampire bookshelves. ;-)
Good Evening, Lachrymosa,

I see we share 66 titles, but, the reason I'm leaving this comment is that I saw that you worked in Plano - I did too, for about 6 years (many, many years ago) - commuting from downtown Dallas. I'm sure you're a regular at Half Price Books. I remember their original store! Same with the original Whole Foods store! I'm dating myself indeed.

Anyway, you've got a great name here. On a similar thread, I've started collecting victorian tear bottles - called Lachrymatories.

Tell me, what type of music do you listen to?

Cate
Your dissertation used some great books!
wow, we've got a bunch in common. :)
