About my libraryThis is the catalogue for the Edinburgh University LangSoc library, which is situated in the Resource Room (6.10) in the Dugald Stewart Building (if you go up the main stairwell it's the room directly on your left as you enter the 6th floor).

You can use this catalogue to browse at your leisure or to check whether we have a specific book that you're after. Just click the "Your Library" link above to search the whole catalogue, or click on one of the tags to browse for books in a specific area.

Unfortunately the catalogue doesn't keep track of which books people have borrowed, so there is a small chance that the book you need may be listed on here but temporarily on loan.

On the other hand, if what you're looking for isn't listed here, it might still be worth taking a trip to the DSB, as we also have quite a few journals and one or two obscure books that we've yet to list on this system.

And finally, we have a LOT of Higgins CDs (useful interactive software for learning phonetics), which you are also welcome to borrow.
