About meI love books, who doesn't? I now have 8 plastic bins of books in my basement, ALL TO BE READ-I am saving for retirement! At last count,it is 200 books all waiting to be read.It is nice to be able to peruse the bins when looking for a new read, yet somehow,I continue to borrow library books!I love to smell the pages of new and old books.Nothing will ever replace a REAL book for me,no e-readers for me.

About my libraryMy Library is an eclectic mix. I used to buy new books at the big box stores. But now I only buy books I intend to keep or can easily donate;so now I buy the majority of my books at used books sales and the ongoing library sale near home. I've been fortunate to get brand new books, for 50 cents.I like "beach reads'- light-hearted stories that take place AT the beach. I have my "classics" as well (Dickens,Collins etc). I keep many but since they are such a bargain,I have no problem cleaning out and "re-donating" so someone else can enjoy! My favorite all time book is "And Ladies of the CLub" by Helen Hooven Santmyer. I can't explain it but whenever I see this 1984 book at books sales, I have to rescue it and buy it!I cannot explain it! I have 10 copies! My goal now is to create a "library" rather than just shelves.I am clearing out my living room to make this happen!!!!
