GroupsBible Scholarship, PNEUMA - Pentecostal / Charismatic Christianity

About meI am a Christian of the Charismatic persuasion. I am also a lawyer at a leading litigation firm in Los Angeles. My formal training in historical studies is limited to a minor in that subject from the University of Houston. Hence my onscreen name of "Layman." I have, however, devoted a substantial amount of time and resources to the study of early Christianity and the New Testament.

About my libraryMost of my books relate to the study of history. The historical Jesus, the New Testament, early Christianity, ancient Greek, and the Apostolic Fathers are areas of focus. You will also find a number of books on military history and the law, a few on science, and some on philosophy.

I thought I had a lot of books until I signed up here.

Chris,

Must be a conspiracy. Or one of us really doesn't exist. I'm older so I guess I really am here.
We're the only two people on LibraryThing to have Greco-Roman Literature and the New Testament. We're also both named Chris - what are the odds?
Hey Chris. Been a while. I stumbled on LibraryThing again after an extended absense. I think they've added some new features.

Glad to have you as a friend. :-) Hope things are well with you and yours.

We have four books in common between us and noone else at the moment. I have more obscure books on average, and you have more recent books on average. Fascinating!
Tim,

Thanks. Glad to see people read them. I was thinking of adding some more.
Just me and the boys working traffic.
I definitely like your LAPD photograph!
